That depends on where you are: In London - get time out and review the appropriate section. Elsewhere; try your local tourist information office and local rag.
You could also try getting the Lonely Planet to Britain; this may give you some ideas.
Home based
If you've four days; allocate one just to relax and wind down a bit (Maybe a pampering session?), allocate one to try and maintain some of your social networks (Have a BBQ/Party/DVD session at your place or just arrange an evening at the pub) and then do a could of touristy things. There may be value in seeing if somebody else is available to come with you.
If you've got any domestic things to do around the house; either get them done before this four day period - or let it wait until the kids are back. This is YOUR time!!
Further afield
Alternatively; going on a small trip Scotland (Especially the west coast) would be fantastic if you don't fancy a flight somewhere. Go to North Wales and hide in a luxurious hotel away from the world.
Failing all of that; there'll be things on at the cinema, retail therapy, go for a big walk (or two or three), Bingo, take a camera around you home town/city, rent a games console, potter in the garden.

I assume if your kids will be gone for 4 days, that includes nights too?
If so, I suggest you let your hair down and go out!!! Either on a girl's night out with your mates, or a romantic night out with your hubby/partner!
I've got a similar situation coming up - my mum is taking my son away on a 3 day nature holiday. I can't go, as I have to work, but it means I will have afternoons and evening/nights to myself for the first time in ages!
Me and my bf are going to go out and have some fun, as we both need to relax a bit!
I know this is going to sound cr*p, but you could also catch up on some housework during the day - thats what I'm planning on doing! You know, the stuff that is difficult to do with the little ones around, like mopping the floor, clearing out attic etc...
Also, I wish I had the time to READ A BOOK - I love reading, but I just haven't had time. In those 3 days I'm planning on reading a book from cover to cover, without interruptions!
Plus just think about it - you'll be able to watch what YOU want on TV, rather than the kid's programmes!
Enjoy - hope I helped a bit!

Think of all the things you can't usually do when they are with you. Go to a really nice restaurant, preferably one with a mostly adult clientele. Go see a movie that doesn't have a cartoon preview, lol. Take a nap without fear of having it interrupted. Read a book you haven't been able to finish. Call friends and relatives you haven't had time to chat with in a while. Go visit a friend you haven't seen lately. Pack a picnic lunch and go to the park and enjoy the peace and quiet. Loud sex with your hubby in every room of the house. Stay up way late doing things you aren't supposed to, then sleep til noon. Take one entire day and do absolutely nothing - just because you can :-) Have fun!

Lucky girl !! 4 whole days, I am getting jealous...
Do the things you haven't done for a long time because of the kids. Have yourself pampered.
After that you will be so rested that you can look after my kids for four days?

Isn't it bliss, kick back hon and relax do what you want when you want to, just make the most of it. Soak in the bath, give yourself a pedicure or get some one to do it for you. Go to the cinema and see that film. Go shopping, you won't hear "mum can I have, I wanna" lol

depends --- you looking for free stuff or paying to have fun.
free stuff..... local art galleries , some museums , and my own secret thing to do when no one is around ..... coloring books. but i have almost two thousand crayons from all kinds of manufacturer's and every color under the sun.
not free stuff... movies and i mean actually going to the theater or going to see a live theater production.or take a tour of some historical site that you have been meaning to go.
let your inner child reign supreme for a few days and you might have all kinds of entertainment.

Sleep in late, shop, watch daytime TV, eat biscuits and chocolates without having to share, get a hair cut/leg wax/manicure, drink too much, read a good book, go to the cinema, go on a date with your man/best friend, have sex(!) ... the possibilities are endless!

Assuming you are female -- Visualize and/or imagine the best stimulation, a video, or a favorite toy; and/or or choice of fingers. You have only to masterbate yourself into sweet oblivion... Men cannot possibly pleasure themselves so well as a sweet, wet ***** of your imagination, stroked and pumped until that hard meat comes and shoots so hard. Only a real woman can bring pure and absolute pleasure to herself and then to her man.
