Mine was in a sling for 2 weeks. You get back to normal in 4 to 6 weeks. But the trick is it comes out easier now. It will come out or nearlly come out from now on. After the first time I can reset mine by having someone hold a pillow under it while I manipulate it back in. You will be able to feel it start to come out all you have to do is stop what you're doing and reverse direction your arm was going in. Its not so bad I dislocated mine 35 years ago. Its been out maybe twice since then and nearlly out maybe 6 times since then. Let it heal good now. Good Luck

How long it takes to recover from an injury depends on a number of factors, such as the severity of the injury, how healthy you are, how much you rest the injury, whether or not you do exercises (physical therapy) to heal the injury, and your natural ability to heal.

For a dislocated shoulder, the recovery time is usually 4-12 weeks.

As an aside, once you've dislocated your shoulder, your propensity to dislocate it again is greatly increased.

4-6 weeks in the sling followed by physio. ex. It would be suggested you go for massage after the sling is out.

I have no idea...but sorry to hear about it...I'm a believer in the 'keep using it--if even just a little--school'...muscles can deteriorate really quickly...good luck.
