Just talk to your friend. Tell her that if she calls herself a friend, she should not go around talking stuff about you with other people. If you did something that offended her, she should have told you, not everyone but you. I think after that if you see that things don't go back being the same, then just go on with your life and try to be more careful when you choose your friends. Also try to be more careful with what you say because sometimes what you think is funny may be offensive to other people. You don't want to go hurting all the people around you. Think before you speak! Good luck!

I think you've just found out that they aren't real friends. You're true friends would never do a thing like that, they would tell you to your face that you've offended them. Forget about them, who needs enemies when you've got friends like that.
If i were you, i'd confront these people and tell them how you feel. Its out of order.

the thing to keep in mind here, is that we are all human and it is in our nature to have a wee ***** now and again, im sure you have said things about your friend in the past, but this doesnt make us bad people or friends. i think if it is really upsetting you then you should go and speak to this friend and tell them that in future you would prefer if you both could just be honest and talk about things that have upset you! or just forget about it and move on!

Talk to her and explain that you didn't mean to insult her or hurt her. I wouldn't get my hopes up this person sound like a passive aggressive type, and they for the most part are not capable of an adult relationship.

If your not married wait till you get married and the family talks behind your back .I have a sister in law Mary who says things like I'm staying out of it yet she will be the first to tattle to everyone and can't keep her mouth shut. Like my brother in law says they will get over it if not they were not friends in the first place
