It is like 99% safe. You have to use it correctly though. Take the pill at about the same time every day to get your body into the routine with the dose of hormone. If you are sick or have the sh1ts then of course it can become absolutely useless so for the next 7 days you need to use other form of contraception. If you take antibiotics (i.e. penicillin) then again, they may be useless. When you finished taking antibiotics, the pill is still not effective for another 7 days. If you take drugs and drink too much alcohol you can reduce the effectiveness of the pill. There is the herb St. John's Wort, which is an absolute no-no if you want the pill to work. In general, those women that 'get pregnant while on the pill' do so because they do not follow these rules. They think a little diarrhoea is not a big deal but they loose the effectiveness of the concraceptive pill for another 7 days!!!! So they need to use another form of contraception, such as condoms or something (or don't have sex).

A lesson from the wise one...

Dont just ask anyone ask those whose job it is to know...

ie doctors, porn stars or

The agencies whose job it is to tell you...

www.fpa.org.uk
www.brook.org.uk
www.ruthinking.co.uk

The pill is like a parachute. Its over 99% effective but only if you are not a divi dumbass tit and follow the instructions not take a chance and have faith in god, cross you fingers , think hey you will be ok or kiss a rabbits foot... Like it was lucky for the bleeding rabbit.

The 1% useually refers to if you get ill...
If you take illegal drugs
If you take herbal drugs like St Johns Wort
If you are taking medicine
If you forget it or take it late as you were a lasy git who slept in after a bender and party the night before
Or you left it at home and met a really hot hunk and thought ahhb ill sort it later when I get home...

Get the jist?

If you have any medical conditions or take any mediines or drugs go ask Mr doc or family planning clinic BEFORE YOU GET JIGGY with someone...

It s a bit bleeding late after when you need to take a morning after pill or better still wait a fortnight and come here asking stupid questions like I forgot to take the pill last week and I had a 10 shag in a day session, it was only one pill, more **** are sore could I be pregnant...

AS ITS TOO BLOODY LATE!!!!!!!!!!!

SO HERES THE DEAL... IT SHOULD WORK FINE IF YOU FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTS AND IF UNSURE OR ANYTHING GOES WRONG NO NOOKIE TILL YOU GET THE OK...

STICK TO BOW AND SUCK TILL THEN.

ALSO IF USING CONDOMS AS WELL IT MASSIVELY REDUCES THE CHANCES PLUS PROTECTS FROM STDS..

Remember you dont need to have sex to catch things like AIDS or gen warts stin contact and blood mixing will do it say doing first Aid, in a fight or an unlucky git who steps on the same glass or needle as an hepititus or Aids sufferer just did.

Also note that you can solve the I forgot it or it was taken late problem with contraceptive patches (1Week) or injections (3 Months)

So it is possible but bloody unlikly if you follow the instructions and incorporate back up condoms.

And go ask experts above and better still use patches or injections

It is supposed to be ninety something percent effective. However, it is down to the person taking it as they must remember to take it.... for me the pill is not effective as I have a brain like a sieve. The pill also does not stop the spread of STI's. I was listening to a radio show the other day and they were interviewing people on holiday asking if they had taken condoms and if they would use them and most people said no.... now that is very scary! The spread of HIV is going up and unless people act responsibly it is going to keep going that way.

Just remember do you want to be stuck with a child and the emotional and financial strain that brings and do you want to be stuck with a STI that may be incurable.

Remarkably effective. Planned Parenthood puts the figure at "92-99.7% effective," but I think that the 92% number comes from people who forget to take it or otherwise use it improperly.

Still more effective is the combination of the pill and condoms, which has been key to the success of the Netherlands' sex ed. programs ("Double Dutch"). They have really remarkably lower rates of teen pregnancy than we do in the States.

i understand what you propose. the stable previous days are any time that appeared less complicated or greater advantageous. For us, which could propose the 50's, or formative years, or final week. yet you're suited, there grow to be no time in human historical past that grow to be suited, that we are able to look returned on as some thing being completely stable. we adore areas and products of "the stable previous Days". people in many circumstances finally end up ignoring that those undesirable issues ever befell. in this one occasion, i think of that's a case of collective optimism for the previous, of focusing on the stable fairly than the undesirable (which i think of runs opposite to human nature in maximum different respects).

Remember to take your pill and it should be like 97% but remember the first month you could get pregnant if you do not use protection during intercourse and forgetting to take it and then take it will also not work...but if you take it everyday at the same time you should be good....but if you have more then one partner or even one partner...contraceptives will protect you from STDS and AIDS

It works differently for each individual, I fell pregnant with my 1st child while on the pill, and my husband used condoms (unlucky or what!!) You1ve just got to find the right 1 that works for you, but saying that "needle & haystack" springs to mind!!!
