Why do people burp? What makes burping happen? And why is it only the fat people that burp?

And saying only "fat people" burp is a rather narrow minded stereotype. Anyone that drinks soda burps. The carbonation has to come out some way.

burping is when gas builds up in your stomach and exits through your mouth. It's not only fat people who burp, but fat people could suffer from flatulence, which causes burping. Flatulence has to do with your eating style. I guess you observed fat people burping, but i can assure you that skinny people could burp just as much if they eat voraciously.
