Some women are taught, either directly or indirectly, that their bodies are something to hide and be ashamed of. Some are taught that anything related to sexuality is sinful and should be repressed. Then there are also many that have been abused in some way. It could also be that they simply haven't had a positive female role model or only had male role models. Some are just teased a lot as children about how they look. It could be one of these or a combination of these. Then again, it might not be insecurity at all. Perhaps she is just comfortable the way she is, and that isn't what society expects her to be........

in today's post feminist movement world, it is more likely for a woman to feel out of place than ever before. it has been forced upon them to play the part of a man at work and in behavior. this can be confusing to a woman, as the female human is more apt at nurturing and being the softer side of a marriage than going out and competing with everyone. this is confusing to the male to such a degree that social training toward being a gentleman is neglected. they no longer recognise a lady as a lady and do not act accordingly. they no longer have a reason to be strong and courteous, so over the course of a generation they become weak and rude. this only reinforces insecurity in women. nobody to protect or treat them like a lady, the men that the feminists attempted to emulate and usurp are no more, replaced by rude peasant male humans. men have no reason to be men, women cannot be women, and the whole society is in shambles.

Same reason why men can feel insecure about their masculinity...just a feeling of being out of place. These people should be proud that they are unique and shouldn't measure themselves against how other people are. Be comfortable with who you are.

Maybe because their mother beat them down everyday telling them how ugly they were or that everyone thinks they are ugly, then makes them be the man of the house so they get confused on how they are to behave from one minute to the next.
