Well Hereford St in Boston was named in honour by the Puritan settles after Hereford in England (near the River Wye, the Welsh border).

Phonetically its pronounced herəfəd...

Or He (like hair), Re (like the 're' in resolution) and Fed... HeReFed

btw that whole Puritan stuff, I made it up to sound impressive lol

In England we would pronounce it "Hairyfud", but knowing how things can differ over in the states you might pronounce it "Hear-ford".
