Personally I prefer a high chair. I just recently purchased one and I love it. I didn't want the ones that attaches to tables because it seemed the baby would out grow it quickly. I wanted my money to last so I bought one for my 9 month old. It will last her for the next few years and that's what I wanted. My baby is at the stage where she's curious and doesn't like to keep still so I needed the high chair bad. I can adjust the seat to all different heights and strap the baby in when she becomes to active. It even came with a tray that has 2 toys attached in case she needs something to play with. I had to remove the toys as she became more interested in playing than eating. Anyway, I recommend the high chair.

Funny you should ask. I bought one of those chairs that attach to the table chairs a few weeks ago because I took my daughter on a week trip to visit family. Not only is it easier to clean but it is also smaller. I love her highchair but no longer really see a need for it and it takes up so much room in our house. I do think she may be more comfortable in the highchair but I'm sure someone makes the other chairs comfortable too. Knowing what I know now I would only buy the booster and save myself the expense of a highchair.

If the table is sturdy enough I prefer a chair that can be put on a table...I think it's important to have a kid sit with the family during meals and the high chairs kind of seperate them....

Just purchased a high chair. Would never go the other route as there are too many incidences where the chair falls and the babies get hurt!!!

A high chair. The chair that you put on you table can be accidentally knocked off, a high chair though is more sturdier.

It depends on you, do you need all of your chairs for bigger kids and adults? Or can you spare it? I have one for my son and I like it alot (one you attach to a chair), my friend has a highchair for her son, it works just as well. Purchase whichever you think you will like.
* The one we attach to the table chair is very well grounded, but that depends on your chairs, I know a high chair would knock over easier than the one we use.

get one of those little seats that you just set on top of a chair and it straps to the chair and then you can belt the baby in it and put the tray on. it's small and portable and only takes up a chair, not a whole other spot!

A high chair is more safe unless your chair has arms.
