The labour party is at a 19 year low, with the left leaning polling group polling them at 30%, the Conservatives at 40%. If this was repeated at a general election tommorrow, the Conservatives would scrape through with a 10 seat Majority. Yet at the last election Labour got 36% of votes cast, Conservatives 35% of votes cast (roughly) and labour got a 66 seat majority.
Labour could get LESS votes than the Conservatives and still win an election.
WHO THE HELL IS BLAIR TO LECTURE ANYONE ABOUT DEMOCRACY!
We have such a massive bias towards labour in the seating boundries that the election is effectively decided before a vote is cast. This is NOT democracy.
The Labour party is not democratic is a dictatorship and is full of hypocrites and moral cowards. If more than a handfull of them actually believed in anything or had genuine labour values, Tony Blair would have been impeached, kicked out of the labour party in shame and put on trial for war crimes back in 2004/2005.
Who would I like to see as Prime Minister? Billy Connolly!!! He has a better grasp of politics, history and human behaviour than any MP.

I dont like the idea of Gordon Brown, in fact I think that the only politician who would be a Blairite type PM is in fact David Cameron. No-one else in the Labour Party, apart from Blair is young and charismatic enough (world affairs aside) and no-one else would have the guts to drive through unpopular but necessary reforms such as tuition fees - and before I get a host of rebuffs for that statement - university money comes from the same pot as other education and is not available to all, richer sections of the community are more of the mind set to send their kids to uni and therefore the socialist principal here is that they should pay to aleviate the burden of funding for primary and secondary education - which are accessed by all.

The best news for me would seeing Labour voted out of office, which is what will happen. Finally the public have woken up to the fact that Blair is a weak and ineffective politician and not to be trusted. Labour have always been the party of immigration, high taxation and bureaucracy, forget any ideals about representing the working man, it is a sham. I cannot see how they can survive, there is no money to pay staff wages. Morally and financially bankrupt!.

I am not sure if David Cameron will the best PM. I think we need a no nonsense person who has a back bone. For all Margaret Thatchers faults she was a damn good leader. Followed through with all she said she was going to do and wasnt to be swayed by the likes of Bush or anyone else.

Probably not Gordon Brown. I think it will be Jack Straw. He seems like a good candidate for the job. He's smart, resourceful, and (in my opinion anyway) a force to be reckoned with.

I'd like Arthur Scargill to be the next prime minister. Or Red Ken.
