Dont kid yourself. Its definatly the logos. Everyone (well most people) wants to fit in. The logo is a huge billboard to the rest of the world that you belong.. But, on the other side of the card. People come to attachments and enjoy certain genres' of style. It can make for some comical or awkward moments at times due to the attachments people feel for genres'.. (ex: Suburban white kids with F.U.B.U. shirts.) But, we've all been duped by word of mouth of our friends. Which in turn has come from the mouth of marketing down the designers hall.... Anyhoo, this could become a bigger issue for me. Id better shut up.

People think that they have to have the coolest style and they want people to know it so they buy the thing that really shows it off which is the shirt with the hugh logo. Personally I don't understand why you by overpriced clothing with a store name on it unless its like a joke one or a catchy ad or something like that but all the say are A&F. i mean is that really worth $100.

It is all about showing off and they are just buying the name. Most of the stuff is made in third world countries by exploited children or adults who make less than $20 a month and work around 80+ hours a week. Materialism is a real problem in the US and we need to realize that we are affecting other people more than we realize.

because they are insecure and need a stupid logo to give them some status with their looser friends. The same stuff in A&F is available in Walmart for a tenth of the cost - minus the logo

they are spending a lot of money on tthe stuff and might aswell let everyone know that they got it from Abercrombie..
why not? just a plain t or sweatshirt with no logo could come from anywhere.. people are basically paying for the logo.

I really think that is about selling the name. I mean, c'mon is a cotton blend t-shirt really worth $50? Because I can get a plain Hanes T-shirt of the same material quality at Walmart for about $5.
It's just really hard to explain that to a teen in highschool struggling to gain social status.

maybe its because they pay for the items and wish other will know when they are wearing it...so here come the logo to show off...and logo helps the company to advertise...

Logos probably. I wish A&F would create a shirt that says "I lack personality so this namebrand (logo here) shirt makes up for that"

Becaue they're shallow and they all think that if they come out cookie cutter with the same brand stamp on the butt then they're supposedly cool, right, wrong! Personality is what makes you cool, wearing Gap, Prada, or K-fart. I love them all. Even Abercrombie. especially the colonge.

Logos are a status symbol. "Look, I'm rich enough to pay to be a walking billboard for these people."
(Really, they should be paying US to wear their clothing and advertise for them!)
