You are definitely working out of a short kit. (I hope that you atleast have some thickness working in your favor).But where are lacking you can always make up for in other areas.
Get good with your mouthpiece. As a matter of fact...Get great with your mouthpiece.
P.S. Learn to use the positions which allow you greater depth with the penetration. It might help.
