I've heard this song several times but I can't find out who the artist is or what the name of the song is. Here's some of the lyrics,

"Only when I'm dancing do I feel this free, at night I lock the door so no one else can see, I'm tired of dancin' here all by myself...tonight I wanna dance with some one else."

"Get into the groove, boy you've got to prove your love to me, get up on your feet and step to the beat, oh what will it be? yeah"

Anyone know the name of this song or the artist that sings it?

I know it's an oldie but I would like to know the name of the song and who it is sung by.

No jokes or wise cracks excepted.
