That's jus not true.
I remember anniversaries/birthdays of all my loved ones. It boils down to the significance you attach to someone - How much U r willing to make the day for that person.

Perhaps women tend to be more sentimental than men, not all men forget. I don't get in a mood if my boyfriend forgets our anniversary, I just remind him, or I organise something for us to do, like I book the table for dinner etc, I won't leave it up to him to do. He has a rough idea when our anniversary is (we are not married so I mean the anniversary of when we met) but I don't get upset if he forgets, it's a minor thing, he is a great b/f so it's not a problem.

I really don't know what it is about women, I'm one self. What they don't realize is that there is much more to a relationship than numbers and dates. The relationship is much more intense. Yes, when you get married, that is a date to remember, but that's the next level. Women are much more emotional than men and they don't always see the little things that men do for them, so quite frankly, i think it goes both ways. Most men, or at least i hope so, always secretly plan little things they can do for their beloved, concentrating on that, i can go on, cause it's actually undermanding

Men and women are wired different. What a man focuses on different things than women. So stuff they think are important they do not forget. The things you mentioned for most men is not impoirtant.
