Marriage isn't a neccessity anymore .. more of a preference. Follow your heart and what is best for you.

No, you have no obligation to do anything you aren't ready to do or don't feel like doing. Society is changing very quickly about this view anyways and I really think you will see less and less traditional marriages in the future. You are committed to someone, your word should be your bond, bottom line, and not some stupid paper contract and a big ridiculous spectacle so you can PRETEND you are a king and queen that day. If you are unsure about your spouse or plan on getting divorced I highly recommend marriage just to save your combined own property in court.

I personally think that marriage should not be a necessity in someone’s life,
You will know for sure if you want to get married to a person when you get a sudden feeling within your heart every time you are around that person. One shouldn’t think that you need to jump into marriage that quickly especially if the only reason you doing it is because you think that you are getting to old or there is family pressure…it’s a decision that will be made between you and your partner. And if you don’t feel that you want to get married or ready for the big M then that’s your choice in life and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that decision and people should respect it

Only food, shelter, and clothing are "necessary." Marriage is a decision, just like divorce. In this day and age, it's so easy to do both that I wonder if people take marriage vows seriously.

Its not the way it use to be.Women have become so much more independant and dont need a man to provide security and love any more. Its not necessary but I think the end decision is yours depending on your own beliefs.

Marriage is not necessary. It can be very nice if you find the right person. Good luck to you.

Marriage isn't necessary unless you want kids of your own. It isn't necessary because there are people out there who have never been married or aren't married and they survive perfectly fine.
