Fill up your schedule. Aspire to do things that are worth doing. Commit yourself to doing the absolute best you possibly can in everything you do, so that you can't look back and say "I could have tried harder." You will find that you will not be number 1 all the time, but you will accomplish quite a lot. Once you get into the habit of doing your absolute best, you will find that that mentality reflects on your life very well, and you can look back with no regrets on anything you've done.

You will also get the sense that, having accomplished so much, you can take on the world and win. That's confidence.

By trying new things and succeeding at them. The key is to start small. I gained confidence when I changed the brakes on my car, then the water pump, then other mechanical repairs.

You can gain confidence by starting new sports. Martial arts is a great way to build confidence.

Look yourself in the mirror, find out who you are inside and make that person shine outside. Be neat and clean and take care of yourself. Value yourself and others will see it and treat you with the same value. Stand up straight. Be nice, smile at people. Don't be a pushover. Think positive thoughts and take up a sport or chess or anything you are interested in and get good at it while you're having fun and make friends and you will build your confidence.

First and most important - Believe in yourself (even if others don't!). Realise there's nothing wrong with you, you are comparable to many others. Believe and then set out to do the things you want/need to do. Be familiar with the subject. Rehearse/practise it, if applicable. You should do alright. Cheers!
