The problem with these rides is the direct side to side jostling. Right now your baby doesn't have all that much cushioning to protect it, and all of that extreme movement could dislodge or harm it. The first trimester is the highest risk of miscarriage, and if a simple fall from a chair can cause it, I'd imagine that those rollercoasters definately can. (Btw I have been to almost every Six Flags in the country so I know they have some hardcore ones) I wouldn't risk it really. Just wait till next summer when you can ride without any fear and it will be that much better. Also, if you do go just for fun, make sure you don't get overheated. Maybe just go to a water park instead :D

Not if you want to kill the baby. The first 3 months of pregnancy is very important. That's the most dangerous stage and is the stage when most women suffer from miscarriage. Try to resist the urge to go to amusement parks and get on roller coasters. Think in the best interest for the baby. Any shock can cause you to have a miscarriage. Some amusement park rides restrict that pregnant women cannot get on the rides, so I wouldn't even go. Go shopping because walking a lot helps reduce the pain of labor.

I'm curious to know what 'six flags' is....never heard of it.
Judging by the answers given already it's an amusement park?
Go for it. I've known ladies to do things like ride motorbikes, swim, have sex during the first trimester with no known side effect. I was doing normal, everyday things whilst I was in early pregnancy, 3 times and I gave birth to 3 perfectly normal kids.
You should use your own judgement. I guess I'd still go on rides!!

NONONONONO! Do not get on the rides, they have warnings for a reason. Even if you are 3 months, the placement of the belts/restraints, can hurt you if something goes wrong. Better to just wait for next year, and not take chances with your unborn baby.

Just be smart about it and don't push yourself! You will instinctively know if a ride is too much for you and the baby! Best wishes!

I would ask your Dr. I personally would not go... even at 3 months... things with shock and blood pressure, etc can effect the baby... but your Dr would give you the best answer as he/she knows your situation

It probably wouldn't be a good idea because one of those roller coasters may likely make you miscarry. But that's just my opinion. The best thing to do is ask your physician's,they can tell you better than I can.
