What heals faster?

My husband and I are having a disagreement. He says that your eye is the fastest healing place on/in the human body. I say it's the tongue. Which is it? Anybody know?

interesting debate. i just googled fastest healing organ and both the tongue and cornea were mentioned. however, the first mention for the tongue was from the about.com guide to piercings and mentioned this fact with regarding to tongue piercings. so not the most credible of resources. the eye technically is not the correct answer. the part that heals quickly is the cornea. hence all the lasik eye centers. the first mention that said the cornea heals the fastest was from a lasik eye surgery center. so that's not credible either.

i would say you are the winner on a technicality. bc you said tongue and he said eye when in fact he should have said cornea. the lens is part of the eye and that part of your eye does not repair quickly.

they dont both heal.
when eye is damage it doesn't heal.
also app;ly to he tounge.
but when eye is blur adn tongue is out of taste,
eyes tends to recover faster than tongue.

stick a toothpick in both of them and see which one heals better...the eye would never work again but you'll still be able to talk with a hole in ur tongue...
