try unplugging your router, then plugging it back in. If it's not your wireless network you shouldn't be on it.

There are the following configurations which r done in the wireless card installes in the PC
*SSID
*ip address
*Security key(WEP KEY)
If u r saying that u r receving the wirelees signal that means u have configured right SSID....then to access the outside world u must configure the right Security key that is in the modem....that u can ask from the person who configured ur modem(access point)...
OR
it must be due to firewall in ur PC go to start>>control panel>>network connections>>right click the local area>>properties>>advanced>>turn off the firewall and then try.
Gud luck

Blame a virus for everything !
have you ever received anything; is it a new set up?
could it be your wep key
have you a firewall that is stopping it, try switching it off
what was the virus, did it work after you deleted it
have you changed any setting, try system restore !
go back to your question and put some additional info in

you can use a tool you have laying around the house. The tool you need is a hammer. Just pulll out the tower into the center of the room and start beating it to an inch of its life. After it says i give show me mercy then you can restart it and everything should be back to normal.

You could try to reset your wireless. Just unplugging it won't reprogram it - you have to press the reset button in back. It will go back to the default password. That's what worked when I had that problem.

Sorry, besides the shown fact that it fairly is actual.

The first step is to reset your router. If its not your router you may need to ask the router's owner for the settings you need to log on.
