ddr, ddr2, sdram, edo dram, ecc ram, ROM, and the hard drive can be considered temporary memory since it's used when dram is full. Most computers today use ROM, DDR or DDR2 and Hard Drives.

If you're asking about the memory in my PC, I have DDR2 533 with CAS 5 latency (5-5-5-15).

If you're asking about memory in general, for the most part there's DDR and DDR2 for desktops, SDRAM for laptops, and FB-DIMM for servers. There are more, that's just off the top of my head.
