Beat up an old lady who got to the store firs and you get it for free. or you can go to gamestop so often and make friends with the clerks and they will hold one for you and it will cost $599 for the premium or $499 for the lesser of the two.
It doesn't play HD-DVD it plays BluRay disks wich hold more information and are hrder too scratch than HD-DVD or DVDs.

I heard it comes out in november of this year. they say its gonna cost between $300-$400.. it has the capability of playing HD DVD's amongst other things.

pre order one and they are running like $700.00, make sure you get the warranty because Sony 1st generation stuff tends to break after 6 months
