I admit I have made the mistake of getting mad at my Fiance' and then making him sound bad to other people around me. Now that we are getting married everyone is like you shouldn't marry him! Why he has never layed a hand on me and if he can put up with me then he loves me. I have put this man thru hel and back and yet he still wants to be with me. Why can't others just be happy for me and stay out of it?

i dont know, maybe just let them know that they dont always hear the good stuff. i am in the exact same situation. they need to understand you love eachother. good luck with your marriage.

Okay listen hard you need to stop and decide whether to realize you follow the decisions of others or you follow your heart, grow up take hold of an old fashion tradition and be with the one you love, if you aren't truly, madly, deeply then be friends and let go of the Fiance stuff, you will lie in bed with this man for the rest of your life and constantly see those tiny hairs from shaving all over the sink, are you ready? Or are you finding excuses to *****, hide and run from what you really can't face and that is a long time effort on your part that was really a waste? Love or just too dam tired and fed up to find it?

If you already have bad enough things to say about your fiance, prior to the wedding, that others are warning you not to ruin your life and marry him, then either you are a drama queen and lied about all the horrible things you said regarding him. Or, you are about ready to make, what is perhaps, the biggest mistake of your life.
Sorry, I know you don't want to hear that. But, love is blind. Its not just a cliche.
And, let that be a lesson to you in the future. Airing personal disagreements and traits about your sweetheart is a very poor way of handling your anger and disagreements with him. You need to ask yourself why in the world you would want your love to look badly in the eyes of others?

It sounds to me like these people are concerned because this person made you so unhappy before.
Take it as an opportunity to re-examine your reasons for wanting to commit yourself to this individual for the rest of your life.....really think about it....are you really sure you won't regret it in 2 yrs, 5 yrs, etc....are you sure he's corrected or abandoned the personality traits that caused you to complain about him to everyone around you in the first place?
If everything inside you says yes then tell your loved ones that you have thoroughly considered the situation from all aspects, you are positive you are making the right decision and they can either be happy for you or keep their mouths shut.
If you're having doubts, now is the time to get out.
I have personally had more than one boyfriend that all of my friends hated and knew was wrong for me....I eventually dumped them all for my own reasons and I am thrilled I did. I could have saved myself a lot of heartache if I'd listened to my friends and family sooner...but hey....then I wouldn't be the person I am now. Strive for no regrets.

You need to keep people out of it. When you complain about your man and discuss your personal issues with your friends you give them permission to judge your relationship. So, keep your mouth closed. If you have to talk to someone make sure it's someone you can trust and won;t put your business in the street,

Because by bad-mouthing him you pulled them in to it. They aren't going to stop so my only suggestion is from now on don't complain about him so much. It sounds like they might have only been hearing the negative, try talking positively of him.
