my advice.... dont make plans. they all go out the window. i planned to be druged up the whole time, when i went into labour suprisingly i was ok i had an epidural for about twenty min(after a 23 houe labour). friend of mine wanted a relaxing home birth and she ended up getting an emergency c section. try to go with the flow when labour starts because every body is different. but do try deep beathing , even meditation classes , they both help during labour. good luck

everyone is different. i dont think anything that you do really causes a baby to be more smart, easier delivery, lose the weight faster, etc.... i just say this because i didn't exersize (both times), i ate moderately - cheated sometimes, but not always, didn't take breathing classes, used drugs when delivering and my kids are "healthier" then some kids that mom ate only organic, exersized until the due date, took massive amounts of vitamins, listened to Brainy Baby all day... delivered baby with no drugs. i also only gained 25 lbs both pregnancies. Lost ALL the weight both times, with no exersize and ....well, other people did stuff that i didnt and didn't get the same results as me or my kids. this isnt to toot my own horn, its just to say that there is no perfect way to be pregnant and come out with perfect body and beautiful smart kids.... you get what you get.

now drinking and smoking and drugs are a different story

haha my natural delivery wasn't very smooth at all.. Dr didnt think I was ready when my son was on the way out...lol I tolerated the pain ( I yelled a LOT) and had no pain killers... it was tolerable but my blood pressure got way high. I know someone else said it and I agree... Don't be surprised if things don't go the way you planned... anything can happen..lol

Alot of walking for me, squatting helped me alot and also occasionally intercourse with my husband. That was what my doctor recommended to me when I was closing my duedate.

I have a high tolerance for pain but with my first time to give birth I had to be injected with epidual after 10 hours of labor but was still able to give birth naturally.
