The question in fact is which one you will finally prefer. The one that you are rich, healthy, famous, strong, have many friends, happy... No life can offer you all these simultaneously. You will have to choose. Tough one...

Cannibalism does not impart extra life or consciousness into you. When you "get" a life, it actually leaves both the original owner of the life, and you, who are trying to reach that life.
As far as I know in history, no one has ever been able to experience more than one consciousness or life. Except maybe Dilbert.
