my husband has a low sperm count so our doctor has advised us to have sex every 3 days, we had sex yesterday and the LH surge was detected this morning..should we have sex again today or leave it until 2moro evening...or will the fertile period be over? we need time for the sperm to build up. I have read that sperm lives up to 3 days and should be waitng for the egg is that correct?

The best time to conceive is to have sex right before the surge - so since you have done that I would have sex the day after to optimise your chances and hope for the best!

You are fertile 24-48 hours after an LH surge. If you aren't sure about whether or not to wait, call your doctor. And yes, sperm can live up to 72 hours in your body after it is inside of you. Good luck!
