Use Yahoo, Skype and some similar software. Of course, u need to pay in some cases and it depends on mb net work in India. Or just try to go to website of mb service provider in India (if u know), may be there is free SMS web service.

u can use yahoo messenger
ur number should start with 091 followed by ur cell number
091 is ISD code for INDIA
