A play for me and a tonic for them!

It is usually between a male and female. It is a mutual love and respect and usually has no sexual overtones. The sort of relationship between two people who are friends. The women that I know and have this friendship with are friends not girlfriends.

Platonic love exists in a relationship free of sex. Plutonic love is an unhealthy desire for Mickey Mouse's dog.

Yeah, I think you mean "platonic." Plutonic would be just the opposite: Pluto is Hades, which is Hell, so you don't want to have Plutonic love.

Platonic means there is no sexual feeling involved in the relationship; it is strictly a friendship-based love--no intimacy.

Platonic love (after Plato) isn't 'natural' between men and women especially if they're 'desirable'. It's possible but not always comfortable.

If you have Plutonic Love you're in love with with a dumb Disney Doggie!

There are two kinds of Plutonic love: (1) the kind they have on the planet Pluto, and (2) the kind practiced by Mickey Mouse's dog. Both are possible between opposite sexes, except when it's too cold on Pluto.

Platonic love is an affectionate relationship between two people with no sexual activity. People use it to describe male-female friendships, because that's usually when you need to differentiate a friendship from a sexual relationship. It's certainly possible, and happens all the time, even when there is sexual attraction.

The word 'platonic' comes from Plato, the philosopher, who was sexually attracted to his young male students, but didn't have sex with them. He considered this a higher form of love than your plain old male-female sexual relationships. So it's suprising that it came to mean a non-sexual male-female relationship.

Platonic love is non-romantic love. You feel a kinship/attraction to the other person that is not physical. Romantic love is when you find someone physically attractive. I guess both have elements of each other in them, but they're not the same thing. They describe different types of love.
