Know yourself. Know the purpose of things and know your own purpose. Stand back and adjust your course once in a while to keep your efforts aligned with your purpose.

Life is more fufilling if your daily efforts all serve to fulfill your purpose in life, as long as your purpose is greater than, "To make it through another day without dying."

Personally, it also goes with the saying that you should love yourself first before loving others because if you are incapable of loving yourself, then how can you show your true emotion to others?

Accepting ourselves is a difficult thing given that our society poses different information in media, politics, or even at home. Example we must be like the skinny models in the runway, or become as successful as Donald Trump.

The thing is, we don't really HAVE to be like them. First things first, we must reflect on ourselves, what we want and how we must do them. Goal-setting is an important thing in our lives. Without this, what is life then if there is no purpose?

Briefly, recognizing your purpose in life (even if it will take years or maybe decades) is the ultimate goal of a human being. Not everyone who has died knew their purpose in life. Thus, they died without feeling a little less regretful.

So, what IS life? What are your achievements? How did you do them? Do you intend to continue them? If so, until when? Are they worth it? Through these, does YOUR life have a purpose? How did you come about the purpose? Did you reflect and examine yourself first before realizing your worth in this world?

Socrates was a Greek philosopher and like all Greek philosophers he loved to think and debate on just about anything.
I think what he is talking about is people that go through the motions in life but never stop to examine whats going on and ask questions.

This quote means you only know what's life all about when you are 'tested' with difficulties, setbacks, challenges and face them bravely.

Life is not a bed of roses and we often faces with different problems throughout our life. How we deal it reflect our value in regards of life. Some people who faces problem may tend to try all means to avoid it, they may be in comfort zone but they never know what's they are losing by not facing it bravely. For others who brave faces the challenges learn and gain something from these setback. It called 'life wisdom'. It's only bestowed to those who go through what life throw to them and face them without fear.

Wise are those who know what they are facing in life and tackle it bravely, ignorant are those who are waiting for what life could offer them.

Think about it.
