Um, no one won in the ways that mattered. Hezbollah has taught hate to a new generation, brought destruction to an entire country, and set back the peace process again. I wouldn't call that winning.

Answer is, .. IT is civilians who have lost. They lost their home, their revenues, their assets of their life time, ther dear, near, .. everything.

HIzbulla: They won, cos they become a sorry as well as a brave figure amoung muslim world. So, they attreact more donations from now on, more donations = more resources, = more men = more arms = more extortions = more murders = more powerful = more and more terror and donations. After all, terrorism and religion are the most profitable busineeses in this world.

Isreal: They will esperiment more tactics, they attract more US and UK investments, more US arms, More US grands for spy work, more us support to eliminate terror.. I am sure both the parties status of wealth and power will be more than the start of war.. so no body wins

BUT CIVILIANS LOST!

When you are beaten back behind a river and your old territory is occupied by the enemy and when your "army" is to be disarmed and disbanded, is that a victory?
When your "friends" Syria and Iran provided you with weaponry, but further did nothing to help you, is that a victory?
When your leader goes on TV and just declares a "moral victory", is that a real victory?
When your former territory is to be secured by United Nations' troops and you are not allowed in again, is that a victory?
Or is it considered a "victory" when the enemy (Israel) did not win either?

they waited them out..... and Israel is doing this all wrong... they should not worry about what the rest of the world thinks.... everyone besides the US and some others hates Israel.... so they should just go in there and pumpkin bomb the hell out of the place and move on.... Lebenon brought this upon it's self... they need to stand up on their own and take care of their problem.... if they can't that's why Israel and now the *snicker... laugh* UN security force is there...

The answer is yes and no. Yes, because it did not release the Israel men, they were said to have taken prison of and they did not abide by the conditions of the Israel and continued to offer resistance, in the face of attack by the Israel forces. No. The Israel had it way. It continued on its course of attacking, despite the world-wide furore.

They haven't really lost as yet -- although they have lost some assets, they have not been disarmed or driven out of Lebanon. If the UN force is as ineffective as they historically have been, renewal of the war is certain.
