Is it their starting pitching or inconsistent offense that worries you? Or do you think they'll come together before October?

If the pitching doesn't start improving in a hurry they are not making it out of the first round. Losing Mulder hurt a bunch. The rest of the starters are having off years so far. So they have the talent to rise to the occasion. Just a question of whether that talent has the fire to find that talent when it's needed most. The Cards also benifit from weak compitition. Whoever wins the West will be easy pickings and if the Mets hold on and make the playoffs they should be easy prey in the playoffs.

Starting pitching def. worries me more than the offense. With Duncan, Pujols, and Rolen offense doesn't worry me at all. Pitching is another story. Hopefully Mulder can prove something with his start on Wednesday. Of course Carpenter has been doing great but he's the only one. Suppan had a nice hot streak but has not been good lately and Reyes wasn't as good as everyone hoped he would be. Marquis's ERA is a joke. But if the starting pitching finally pulls everything together I think the Cardinals will go the distance in the postseason.

Maybe wild card...can't even be sure about that...from what I see (I'm in the New York metro area, and a Mets fan, so I get my info mostly from Sportscenter), they've got consistency problems on both sides...pitching and offensive production...if they can get and keep it together, they might get through the wild card round...can't say how much further, though...then again, let's be honest...how many teams can you say don't have inconsistent pitching? Then again, most of them don't have a player of Pujol's caliber...

I think they will make a first round exit. They just don't have the pitching needed to win the NL. I like the look of Chris Duncan. He has all the signs of being a big league star.

they'll definately win the division (as long as they don't have another one of those weird losing streaks and the Reds don't have a winning streak at the same time). hopefully, they'll make it to the World Series and win it.

Reds will win the division and I'd say Arizona wins the wildcard so no postseason for them this year

They won't make it. They have no starting pitching. It's catching up with them right now.
