I have an Intel P4, 2.4ghz, socket 478 system and the CPU fan finally crapped out on me. I need a replacement. The processor model is an SL6Z3. The board is an Intel 865GLC. I want a fan that doesn't have size or weight issues. I've read that some of these fans get in the way of other board components. I don't want to pay an arm and a leg. I am looking around $20-$25 including shipping. Low noise would be nice, but I'm not too concerned with that. I don't have anything overclocked and the standard Intel issue fan that came with the processor handled the heat just fine. My zip code for shipping is 93638. Find me a reputable dealer with a decent product who doesn't assrape you on shipping. Thanks!

Try Newegg. The TR2TT TR2 seems to be the best choice. $22 shipped.

i became gonna recommend you purchase it from NewEgg yet I purely checked and they don't have it for a smaller cost.yet most of the time they do because they promote in severe parts so their expenses are extra constructive. and also you should envision your BIOS to ensure in case you could overclock because if its Locked... no overclocking. Get an AMD Black version or Intel severe/ok Cpu because they contain unlocked multipliers and would surely be overclocked through replacing it. caution: in case you do overclock and something is going incorrect. The producer received't replace your CPU because overclocking voids the guaranty.

http://www.newegg.com has the best prices I've seen, while
http://www.tigerdirect.com sometimes beats those prices and has the quickest and most reliable service I've seen (although shipping sometimes is overpriced for heavier objects).

The best cooler I've seen is the Arctic Cooling Freezer 4. Although is is ~$35 with s&h, its performance is on par with coolers priced $10-$30 more. P4s tend to run very hot, so good cooling is required for a system that you want for the long run.

CompUSA and Fry's Electronics are good in-store retailers.
But for greater selection and prices, nothing beats
Newegg.com.

My suggested Heatsink/Coolerfan Combo: Zalman CNPS9500 LED

Enjoy!

Try Fry's at outpost.com If you have a Fry's nearby, check them out. They are pretty reasonable and I've had no issues with hardware that I've bought from them.
