That sounds pretty normal for a retail manager. I work much stranger hours (7p-8:30a), but that's night shift for you.
Obviously, your husband hasn't does his time working retail, or it wouldn't bother him :)

My hours used to vary ..but after about 25 years I held shifts that were 5:30am to 3:30 pm or 6 am to 4 pm...10 hour days 4 days on / 3 off...but now I'm retired.

My shift is usually from 6:30 am to 9:30pm, sometimes longer hours and on call 24 hours, 7 days/week, every day of the year. You see, I am the mother of a toddler.

I'm 24. I work 4 days a week 9am - 5pm. I only work Monday - Friday and I usually have Monday or Friday off. I have 2.5 year old and I couldn't work any more than what I do :)
