Hi! As far as I know, the sperm stays in the body up to 3 days. That is why, in order to get pregnant, if you want to, it is recommended to have sex not every day, but on a 2-day interval, so that the sperm "gets stronger".

actually it is 6 days it can stay alive before it attaches to an egg

hmm not that i know of, the longest i have heard is around 72 hours,and i doubt that...
