I have had an E-Machines 5710 Notebook for the past 3 years and it has been really reliable. Although it does run hot. If you really want a notebook with a bang, you can try out one of those Alienware notebooks. The Apple laptops are pretty good too.

Thinkpad rocks anyday....... but if you're looking for a notebook... more for personal use..... try the latest dual-core technology provided by intel(expensive) or AMD (relatively much cheaper). At present HP-compaq is one of the best brands that offers this with real trendy looks and other features.

Alienware and Voodoo, there is no doubt about it. Want performance? Buy an Alienware AND a helmet!
