Isnt it funny... that I see Americanization not as a homogeneous state but as bringing cultures together. Go to any major city in the US & you can have great food from around the world. I can find great Turkish, Chinese, Japanese, Brazillian, Mexican, Spanish, Lebanese, Indian, etc...
All of these are within twenty minutes from my home. That is great!!!!
I travel because I love the people, the architecture, the history... But I can find interesting people, places, & things in my own area as well.

well...not everything is Americanized...Thank goodness. I like being an American, by all means, but i definately like visiting other countries. I hope the world never becomes just one culture...that would be sad

if we do as you said 'Americanize' the food would remain the same, the whole point of world travel is to see..the beauty of the world..to see nature or man made..lol Corny? yeah but its true..
