It's is an animal cruelty organization. They are completely against having pets, killing animals for food, keeping them for eggs or milk, and hunting. I strongly suggest you don't join.

PETA stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. They're a non-profit organization designed to increase awareness of animal cruelty. They were instrumental in bringing animal testing on products such as perfumes to light. Their membership is also split between those who believe in rational action and education and those who think extreme measures are the only way to change things.

Sorry but i really was interest in your question r.e: Is it wrong to love animals more than people?...But it's closed but i would still like to share my view with you
This is my answer: I don't think it is at all, I love animals and would rather be with them than most people. And it's not because i like control or lack social skills it's because i just absolutely love everything about them..their way of life and how they survive.You compare humans with animals and you would much prefer to be a an animal really. Humans kill their own kind on a mass scale, and animals? Only to survive, and when in critical hunger. It also depends on how most of your relationships with humans have gone. For me it's been OK, but i would still choose animals. It's almost like they are all innocent,never changing and always living their lives just like their ancestors have for generations. That's what i call a community...how the world should be really. We can learn a lot from animals and their way of living.

Check out Penn and Tellers report on PETA - they are actually quite scary people. All their 'Ethics' seem reserved for animals, with none to spare for people. Don't go near them!

It is an organisation for ethical treatment of animals. If you endorse the principles of the organsiation and sincerely think you second the views of the organisation, you should definitely join and be an active member. Certainly you should not join just for the sake of joining.

Just kidding.
It's actually a terrorist organization that believes it's ok to bomb clinics that test life saving medicine on animals. One of their spokes people even used this medicine! When asked why she took the medicine if it is "inhumane," she simply replied that "there has to be someone to fight for animal rights." PETA has also killed over 1000 puppies and kittens. They are a bunch of elitist assholes.
