I think it is because they feel superior using that type of language. Their vocabulary is probably not as extensive and they can use the vulgar language they know. It is easier to use those words that almost everyone knows than it is to pick up a dictionary and learn a new, clean word.

I try to avoid much profanity when answering questions. I've found I can be much more insulting while not using profanity. Some questions however deserve a well placed swear word to make a point. When answering a question that is asked by a mentality that doesn't understand a well thought out answer you have to answer in a manner they can understand.
Regarding the plea for no foul words: This is America, and we still have free speech. Censor ship has no purpose in a free society. The liberals want one kind of censor ship the conservatives want another. Words have little meaning in this time of corruption. Unless you use those words against the powers that be. Then words become un-American and support of terrorism. The total killed sense 911 is 4 X's more than have died from terror attacks sense 1980. Think were even yet? Or may-be we need to get to 10X's and make it last for years so we can sell them more arms. blah blah blah . I could rant all night bout this bull-crap all night. ......................Notice even thought I made a very passioned and unpopular answer I did not use any swear words. I do invite those that agree to fill in the blanks with the swear words.

Some people (Why I don't know) seem to think it is just so cool to use foul language. I personally think it is a waste of breath or anything because there are other words you can use to replace those bad ones.

I guess it's a habit.
Another reason might be because some people post ridiculous questions and they feel the need to cuss at them for being idiotic

Its the way they have been brought up. Their upbringing counts. The negative attitude towards everyone and everything also contributes in this foul language reply. But what can we do? Its their prerogative. Freedom of expression, as they call it. We are in no position to blame them and crucify them. As for our part, let us be winsome and accomodative.

I would say that they think it is really cool to say to make people hang around them and all that stuff. I know because my little brother does it 24/7 and he some times gets in trouble for it.

I feel the same, some people are so rude! All the more reason for the rest of us to be extra polite to each other :) â¥

you're right, I guess they do it to get noticed or to express just how strongly they feel, but its offensive most of the time, in a public forum it can be avoided.

I would say poor vocabulary, they need to brush up on their vocabulary, I find myself answering in that fashion as well!
