I've decided to stop smoking. Just because I feel lazy, and pretty much useless if i'm high. Things in my life are changing and I just can't do it anymore.
Did anything make it easier for you?

Just stop cold turkey. There are no real addictive properties. Besides, if you have reached a point in your life where it no longer fits in with your lifestyle then you should stop. Just refocus your energies into whatever it is that you are now getting into. If like cigarette smokers you have an oral fixation then chew gum instead and exercise helps too. Pakalolo is only helpful if you want to relieve stress, chronic pain and anxiety. You must already have a purpose in life though otherwise you will just sit around and get depressed by smoking it and get lazy as you have stated. I used to like to take a few hits and channel that energy into what I was doing. It made things go smoother and with less stress and BS. The different types make a difference too. For instance, sativa is more cerebral as where indica is more physical in it's effects. For me it was for off duty purposes only though. Good luck to you.

I answered this question for somebody else awhile back. When I was younger, I smoked weed a lot...several times in one day for days on end.

Then one day I realized that I neither needed nor wanted to do it anymore. I just didn't like the feeling. So I just stopped. No help. Just decided to do it and did it.

Maybe it can't be that way for everybody, but it worked for me. Today the weed is probably stronger than back in the 60s, so it may be more difficult to give it up "cold turkey." Not sure.

I joined the Army...other things that worked: time...it's great. You'll eventually realize how fun life can be without it and you'll also see how weak you were at a time in your life when you centered your life around something so ridiculous. You could also start a new hobby. Save the money you would spent on pot and use it to take a vacation or to spoil yourself. Limit contact with people who do it. Get a gym membership...start working out on your own. Date a girl who hates it. Girls are great motivation for me...but most of all, be strong and don't bow to temptation

Kava kava, rescue remedy and taking time to meditate, sip tea, or paint your nails during the times when you normally would smoke out. I found that putting some distance between me and my smoking friends made it easier in the early stages. Good luck. You may love the feeling of thinking clearly again. I know I do.

I moved on to a new location where i could start new. If you can't do that then just let your friends know not to smoke it around you. Joining the military helps too. One warning though don't replace one bad habit with another. Take up a new hobby, something physical. Oh yeah and sex!!

Just quit....pot isn't addictive unless you have mental issues, then it can be mentally addictive. I've been smoking ALL my life. And i just recently quit cold turkey because i found out that i'm pregnant, and it's not hard at all. Just don't be around it if it's going to be that hard for you. I'm finding it harder to quit smoking cigarettes than pot.

I believe successful people want others to smoke pot (drugs, etc) because drugs kill ambition, which makes it easier for non-drug users to succeed in life, because of all the less-ambitious people

decide you really want a job that requires a drug test. Once you do the requisite 6 weeks, and the job has become something important and meaningful, you won't want to and you won't have time.
