My friend is just experiancing early detections of hypoglycemia. And she does not have a blood/sugar tester, because this is one of her first times experiancing it. Her symptoms match those of listed of this illness. And since she does not have a home-tester, is there alternative ways to measure her blood/sugar content?

I have been researching this on the internet, and some say that its not always caused by low blood sugar, but elevated levels of andrenaline in the body. She is a life guard, and did have cross country practice. I think this may be cause of it, if so than wat ways are there to cure it then?

Some drug stores or health fairs offer screening tests.

I've also seen a vial of test strips that come with a meter built in! It was pretty cheap, like around $20, so that's close to free.

She may know someone who is diabetic and most would be more than happy to let her see what it's like to have a finger stick glucose test.

Add'l: I am not aware of any way to do a test at home. Testers are very sensitive and use a tiny drop of blood. If you figured out some kind of reaction to do at home, you'd need a pint! (maybe) Anyhow, if you NEED to know now - and I hope you would know how to interpret the results - go to a 24 hour drug store right now and find a meter that is offered with a rebate. Some of them are practically free after rebate. You can get one for under $50 and they come with a few test strips. Read the box to see how many...

I am Diabetic and I have never heard of any way to check her sugar levels other than with a meter at home. But that alone will not tell you if she is Diabetic or not. You need to go to a Dr. and let them draw blood and do certain lad test on it to be sure if she is or not. One of the test they do is the A1C, which will determine what her sugar level has been over the past 3 months. If you and her suspect this go as soon as possible and get tested. The earlier you find out the sooner you can start trying to get it under control. Please go do this soon.
As I said earlier I am Diabetic and know too well what your sugar can do to you, as I suffer from complications from the damn disease. It is a wicked disease. In the past year I have gone from taking from 4 to 5 medications to 13 different meds.. I take 13 to 14 pills in the morning and 4 to 5 at night. with 1 during the day.

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.

I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.

I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

If the blood sugar level has to be checked regularly it is best to get a reliable home tester. Alternatively it can be checked at the doctor's clinic or at a pathology lab.

she should go to the doctor and get A1C hemoglobin done. you can go to Walgreen's.net and look in the sale paper or go you local Walgreen's and talk the pharmacist. in my area there is a meter that you can get free when you buy a box of 50 test strips. i think you can test it by your urine to i know at i time you could. the sooner she gets checked out the sooner she can try to get it under control. i didn't know i had diabetes until it messed up vision, but was lucky enough to get it under control with meds and clear up my vision to some degree.

Do you know any people who are diabetic? Most diabetics should have test kits, and somebody probably would be willing to check her blood sugar with a simple finger prick. Just be sure they uise a new clean lancet, so they don't spread disease.

Tell her to eat a piece of sugar real quick. If she feels better, ya know it was low.
