If you are talking about e-Harmony...Don't waste your time or money.
Online personality tests don't really portray who the person really is because let's face it- everybody lies when it comes to talking about themselves. Those who say they don't are LIARS! ;-)
Nothing can really acurately depict your personality because each day presents a different mood type when you are filling it out and your interpretation of the questions may be different on certain days.

Sure...they can be. It's like any other test in that you can sway it to whichever "hat" you're wearing while taking the test.
Try this one and after reading the results tell me if you it does a pretty fair job of assessing your personality traits. It's the Myers-Briggs humametrics test. Try it out! (see the web address I referenced)
Naturally, if you see a pretty accurate summary of your personality, or at least better than ones you've taken in the past, I'll expect that you vote my answer the best. Thanks in advance!

They give an indication but isnt 100% accurate.
No one person's personality can be the same as the another (or follows a particular template) cos this is also dependent on one's upbringing, the environment, the culture, the society and other influences which temper a person's character.

In my opinion all the personality test are made for the fun of it but they do help people make choices that benefit them including choosing a career and maybe even a husband or wife. But the good point of view for all this test are that they create a general overview of yourself even if u don't realize and by viewing your personality they create a clearing in u than may change your course of life mostly leading to a better life.
In my opinion is that we should just take it for the fun of it and if it benefits you than it is good but if it just doesn't help than ignore it and treat it like game

Personality tests aren't always 100% accurate, but they usually give you a pretty good description of how you usually act. If you end up with results you don't like, you should remember that they may not be true, but you should still remember them just in case they are right.

Not necessarily. But if you take a closer look, you will find the similarities. Just the words in which they express are different but have the same meaning.
Or, you might not have enter your details with accuracy. U know at times the options they propose from which we have to choose are really confusing.

No. Those tests on the internet were just created for fun. You really can't tell your personality by taking those tests. They're just there for entertainment.

I would say that for all personality tests. Yeah, like someone else said, they give you a general idea. Don't count on them to decide who you are. Personally, i find them very 'boxing' - in the sense, they put me in a box. I don't like that.

if you want to be tested precisely visit a psychologist. No online test can get a complete view over you.
