I have an HP pavilion ze5300 laptop. It has a wireless "on-off" button and indicator light. Does it mean that it has the wireless card already installed? I don't want to buy one if it's already installed. I've tried looking through the manuel but its of no help.

Yes it has an integrated wireless adapter. When the indicator light is on it is able to recieve signal.

Here's a link to a brochure on setting up your wireless connection.

Yes, You most likely have a wireless card already installed. To check it out , Press the button and the light should come on. If there are wireless connections in the area it should show you, If you get a symbol in your toolbar with a Red X there may not be any connections in your area. to search for connections, Left click on the symbol on the bottom tool bar. you should get a message saying View all wireless connections. you should get a window that will show you the connections in your area. if there are none, Click on refresh wireless connections.
I hope this helps.

well turn the button on and see if u can pick up wireless signals. My toshiba laptop has the same button but i still needed a wireless card.

My dell laptop has the sam button too and also has built in wireless card.

if all else fails, read the manual
