The Seattle Center! There is plenty to do there. It is a nice place to push the strollers around...the huge fountain there pulses to music, and your little toddler can feed the birds. There are different things to eat, rides, the Pacific Science Center which is interactive and very fun for kids is at the Seattle Center also. I also recommend a romantic dinner at the Space Needle for you and your wife...if you take a sitter. Otherwise, there is always the Wheedle on the Needle...a snack/lunch stop halfway up the space needle. Seattle is absolutely beautiful. You should have a wonderful time. Btw, make sure to visit the Pike Place Market. There is nothing like that fresh seafood. And the guys at the fish market put on quite a show for the tourists as they throw the fish around. If you love shellfish, be sure to stop at a small restaurant down at the Piers. There are plenty of them and they are all wonderful! Hope that you have a great trip!!

Besides the Space Needle & Pike Place Market, I love the Underground Tour in Pioneer Square. It takes you "under" the city and gives a humorous and lively account of the first Seattle residents.
I would also highly recommend that you take a ferry ride across to Bainbridge Island. It's much cheaper than taking an Argosy Cruise and twice as scenic, so bring your camera!
Another suggestion if you like beautiful views is to take the Water Taxi to Alki (leaves from the same Pier as the Argosy Cruise - near Red Robin). One of the best views of the city is found there (as well as the best view of the sunset) and if you take a bus west a few miles (or walk it if you prefer), you'll be in the heart of Alki...where the beach is and where there are some great restaurants.
Hope you have an enjoyable trip!!!

You can get a city pass. I live here and i have bought one before... you get
• Woodland Park Zoo
• Pacific Science Center
• Seattle Aquarium
• Argosy Cruises - Seattle Harbor Tour
• The Museum of Flight
This used to inlcude the space needle and the underground tour.. not sure why it doesnt anymore...
Do go up the space needle, its pretty cool. Check out the TROLL in fremont, Go to PIKES MARKET no matter what, this is a must.
You can "ride the duck" but all the locals will laugh at you..
And check out Pioneer Square

Everyone that visits here goes to the Space Needle and Pike's Place. I wouldn't reccomend the Space Needle, though. It's like $14 to get on. Last time I looked, anyway. Just walk around downtown, there's a lot of stuff to see there. You could go on the monorail too, if they've got it working again. It's been closed for a while since the fire a couple years ago.

Pikes Market, Pioneer Square (Eliot Bay Book Company) and take the boat tour that goes around the Puget Sound.
Visit the the air museum at Boeing. Take the free monorail in downtown Seattle.
Seattle is more a young adults town 25-55, where you are more apt to find places for coffee than for kids. I went to the top of the Space Needle which was nice, but it cost $6.00 and that was years ago.

Seattle Center, and down to the pier area
there both pretty close although you will want to drive between the two with young children.
The Seattle center, right under the space needle is the coolest place in the west; the EMP, gehry's building, is right in it and their roller coasters(small for children) and games and all that crap for the kids, enjoy

Seattle has an awesome Children's Museum. It is at the Seattle Center. I have many childhood memories from playing there.
The aquarium is also fun for kids.
