I had three small children, an elderly aunt, and a full-time college schedule and was able to manage to keep everything going on. Back then, I was just going from one day to the next, not knowing how I was going to make it.
But I was able to care for my aunt until she passed at the age of 89, a year before I graduated from college in 1994. My three children have all grown up and 2 of them graduated from college. After graduating from college, I worked three jobs until my children got old enough to work after school to earn their own money. Then I was able to pay off all the financial aid debts I accumulated while in college.
I AM WOMAN, HEAR ME ROAR!!!

Getting through the time when my dad had cancer. It's still so difficult having to worry that it might come back. When I first found out, I really didn't think I'd survive. It sounds selfish, because I wasn't the one going through it, but it obviously affects the whole family. I don't know if you could call this an accomplishment; it's more of a survival.
