Once Fidel Castro has finally stepped down permanently from the Presidency of Cuba, what do you think will be the future of Communism and international relations in that country?

Should Castro die, and Communism come to an end, it will depend on what takes its place, but you can rest assured that a lot of Cubans who left to come to the U.S. will go back. From that point, relations will be better, and trade will flourish.

I would think that Cuba will continue its current course. The infrastructure is well developed and the process has been successful for the tiny island nation. All over the world, Cuba is known for excellent medical care and consistent education and nutrition of its people.

Things we have yet to accomplish in the US.

In Cuba, not with out an excellent type of bloodshed. The tyrants in power are unlikely to renounce their positions with out a wrestle. As for the U. S., what are you talking about? Oligarchy? power elites? Sheesh, that conspiracy concept talk.

I think Raul will visit him on his death bed and say 'Yes Fidel, I will remain faithful to the revolution'. And as soon as Fidel is in the grund he'll start calling hotels and casinos and Donald Trump and say 'let's talk money'. There is just too much money to be made there to be ignored and it won't be.

10 years until the embargo is lifted and we can all smoke Cuban cigars. Actually, I hope to see progress within the country like we are seeing in China, a steady, not immediate and rash, increase in capitalism

It will still be CASTRO... except that it would be Ruben.... Communism lives on and international relations will be good with all nations except the USA.....

Hard to say, I really dont see his party stepping down or being overthrown. Most Cubans really buy into their ideas.
