My younger brother yelled out "hey mom look at that yellow tramp"
My mom looked in front of her and saw a plus sized woman in a really tight yellow outfit.
My mom turned around and slapped him. Stunned my brother pointed to the yellow trampoline slightly off to the side.
How many of you have been put in a similar situation and what happened?

By the way, I too would never slap my kids for something like that. I explain to them why they shouldn't say something considered to be rude. Rule of thumb, I won't put a hand on my kids ever. My parents did enough for a lifetime.

Slapped is what happened I got four right between the eyes because I used a word that I didn't know what the meaning at the time was. What was the trigger to my mom's hand well let me tell you? I was just done playing out side when I got thirsty and went in for a drink. My mom was washing dishes this I clearly remember and she asked me where my brother was I said ? HE'S OUT SIDE PLAYING WITH HIM SELF! the reason I said that is because I left him by him self out there but I didn't know what that meant at the time my mom slapped me but know I know I learned the hard way and I don't mean a stiffie.

A couple years ago, my son was 3 yrs. old at the time, and we had gone grocery shopping. On our way in there was a man with an arm amputated right in front of us. My son blurts out "Look, that guys hiding his arm, Mom!" loud enough for everyone to hear. I whisper to him to be quiet that he wasn't hiding his arm, he didn't have one. I didn't think at the time this would arouse more questions; I just wanted him to keep it to himself while grocery shoppin. Hoping he would drop the subject, we continued into the store. What do you know, but the man remained only a few feet in front of us through out the whole store! The whole time my son was asking very loud questions. "Why doesn't he have an arm? Where did it go? How does he get dressed?" You get the point. I am proud to say that I never raised a hand to him. Instead I tried to answer him as quietly and quickly as possible, and explained that we shouldn't talk about it right then, it wasn't considered good manners to point out when someone has something wrong with them. He can ask me in private. Even though I kept my cool that time I have had another child, and my son is getting older. There are other incidents that have happened since then. I ever so quietly ask them if they would like their swat when we got home or if they would like to go in private right then. But that is only when they know better; like the time he threw himself down and had a tantrum at another store. When I tried to pick him up he screamed that I was trying to rip his arm off! That's kids.

If a woman receives indignant or indignant because a mom brings her youthful boy into the girls room she obviously does not have a male newborn. I took my son into the girls room till he became about 6. Then I enable him bypass the boys's room through himself yet I stood precise outdoors and advised him to do his element quickly and come again out or i'd are available after him. i'd in no way believe letting a boy less than the age of 6 to bypass the boys's room on my own. you'd be a foul mom in case you probably did. in case you've been a pedophile the position would you dangle out searching for little boys? as well, no individual ever sees something contained in the girls room any way. all of us have separate stalls. So what's the vast deal? some women purely do not have problem-free experience.

When I was about seven or so we went to go see my moms aunt and I said she was old and my mom smacked me in the face. I had no idea what I had done, but felt very humiliated and obviously it stuck with me.
It was not a misunderstanding, but now that I have a little one I try to instill in her not to say things about people.
We were in a pizza place and this small guy with long hair came in and she said something about why does he look like a girl or something and I just reminded her not to say things about people it could hurt their feelings. I would never do to her what was done to me. Unlike my mom I try to explain instead of reacting at my own embarrassment. I know she is gonna pull a doozy one of these days and I may turn purple but I will never smack her in the face.

My sister (who's chubby too) was having coffee with her friends in this restaurant when this truck and boat pulled through the lot. She said "oh my gosh!! look at the size of that boat!! It's HUGE" She was really amazed by this boat,... but by the time her friends got up to look, the boat was gone and a large woman was walking by. Her friends all tsked her and thought she was rude... but there really was a boat there.

HAHA Thanks for the funny story! That made me laugh outloud for real!!
I used to work in retail (overpriced shoes) and I had a customer come in and she was skinny except that her stomach was big.So of course being friendly and "interested in my customers" like they tell us to be...I asked her when she was due. Never again. I should of known better, it just kind of slipped out because it was my first thought. She immediately asked for my managers name/store phone # and walked out. She called the next day, I pretended to be my manager and "handle" the complaint. Oops!

I didn't have any such experience- rather I don't remember or no one told me.
Anyway this is quite interesting and the sensitivity behind this incident is understood.
