We are having a debate in my household about trans sexuals. There is a bet about wether a male to female trans-sexual can have a baby.

Do they get ovaries & a uterus too, or like maybe some of them?

And if they can put a remove his penis & give him a vagina, then why couldn't they give him the uterus, & ovaries?

No, most of the time trans remove their genitalia and replace it with the other sexes....Once that is done theres no going back, women cannot have testes implanted that produce sperm, and men cannot have the entire female reproductive system placed in them to have a baby. Its more of a thing to do for fun, but no, they cant have babies.

Sexual reassignment surgery does NOT include installing a womb. Such surgery would be dangerous, even if it were possible to do. The physiology of the female reproductive system is complex and cannot (yet) be simulated through surgery.

So no, a biological male who has undergone M2F surgery will never bear her own children. There is always adoption though and a M2F CAN breastfeed!

I agree with most of what you say. I am a man because: 1. I have the tools 2. I feel comfortable and happy as a man, I would not feel comfortable in the body of a woman. Sexual identification and gender identification is two seperate issues. A transexual is not necessarily gay. It is rather his/her gender that is the problem and not his/her attraction to a specific gender. I do not understand much about transgerdered people, but believe they fight even WORSE battles of discrimination than us gays.

Unfortunately transexual male to female people cannot physically have children. They may have the physical resemlance of a woman but they do not have the necessary "utilities" a female born person has. Such as a womb and egg producing ovaries!

Not unless they also transplanted a uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries and a cervix. I believe the vaginal opening created during the male to female surgery is not a functional opening.

No. One needs the whole sysyem of internal organs functioning proprely in order to have babies. I don't think they install that as an option.

Duh....no. Come on.....a male turning himself into a female is just chopping off his male parts. He still doesnt have female parts inside, no uterus, no fallopian tubes. It is utterly impossible.

That's like wondering why your car won't start without an engine...You need a uterus to have a baby...can I rank this as the dumbest question I've ever heard?

When a man becomes a woman, only the outer bits are changed. They don't give the man a uterus to go with his new vagina.
