Absolutely!
Does it offset the days? Not sure "offset" is what it actually does. But it does give me "hope" that life can still be amazing and so worth living. It's like that rejuvenation that is necessary to keep plugging away while you take that machete and hack away at all of the obstacles that lead you through the rough times. Then you come to that clearing in the woods where you are finally rewarded.
I've always thought........you can't appreciate the good, unless you've experienced the bad. So living and surviving our 10 bad days make it possible for us to recognize just how fantastic this "best day of our life" truly is! After that.......we will continue to survive......keeping in the back our mind the memories of the good days which will help us muddle through the bad.

No way! More like 10 best days offsets one worst day.

The best day of your life offsets THE REST of your difficult life, not only ten days!

To me it's an interesting question because I have actually thought about this several times. My answer to your question is "yes"... but I'd go even further and say that although I can remember a bad experience, I usually tend to forget bad times with friends or GF, focusing on the good times. Of course there's a threshold of meanness that mustn't be passed :) but It seems that I remember selectively the nicest memories of shared experiences. (It has sometimes put me in an awkward position when someone rambles at me with a fermented list of criticisms and I have nothing to answer with because I don't make those lists.)I have no idea if others think the same way because I've never discussed this before.

Depends how great the day is, I'd say it offsets 5 maybe 6.

Why, yes...and sometimes just a good incident on a bad day can make the bad day good!
It's absolutely essential these days to cultivate a good attitude, despite all the garbage going on around us. It's easy to just succumb to it all and be a pessimist. It's a lot more challenging - and ultimately, rewarding - to keep looking on the bright side; to find that silver lining, and keep up your spirits and those of the people around you; regardless of how nutty they think you are. ;)
Better to be an iconoclast than a pure cynic...

A fantastic day offsets anything. Bad days, bad memories.
If that fantstic day ends up as a worst day, then you only start all over again. That is optimism for you!!

No, the present is real and the past is an image in fragments. If it's the best day of your life, then you're not being distracted by any quantity of dreams about times that were bad. What is, IS. And what isn't is not.

Sure, why not? Why dwell on the terrible days you've had when you're experiencing a great one? Don't worry about the past, thrive in the now.
