Some of these girls are mean to me at school. They are popular, and I'm not quite as popular as they are, but I have a lot of friends. They are very mean to me sometimes, and they call me names, like fat, gay, and other things that I cannot say on here. My mom already knows about it, but I don't want her to say anything to them, because if she does, then they might start to make fun of me even more. Sometimes they don't even say it, they im me on AIM and say it. What should I do?

Nine out of ten times, they're jealous. Either you're really cute, really popular, or you're super smart. I promise people don't just not like you, they're jealous. Honestly, I know it sounds horrible, but I had girls in high school like that and after I beat the crap out of one of them they left me alone. (I'm not saying thats the thing to do, but it did work for me.) And just think, you'll be finished with school before long and while you're off living an awesome life, those girls will be working a MCD's and married to a janitor. (They always end up that way cause they cant cope with real life outside of high school.) Good Luck.

These girls say these things just to make themselves feel good, and to make their friends laugh. I had the same problem when I was in school but the one thing I learned is to ignore them. It was completely hard to ignore them because after all you do have ears and you can't help but to hear every word they say. So I learned to walk right on by them without saying a word. If they talk about you let them talk don't give them any eye contact or anything just go on about your business like you didn't hear it. It will eventually stop. I promise. They will get bored because you stopped feeding back to them in whatever rude comment they say. Just give it a try. It may take a while but they will stop. And if they are IMing you on AIM and saying the same bad things then ignore them also. AIM has an ignore or block button right? Don't be afraid to use it honey.
Oh one more thing. Everytime you hear bad things from them you are getting stronger and stronger and they are only making themselves weaker and weaker.
I hope this helps. :)

yeah, you can ignore them. But the really good revenge is knowing what gets to them and getting their goat. Girls like that are just as sensitive and probably even more self concious than you are. Find some of their flaws. Stand up for yourself Girl! Dont sit around and let those ugly girls get you down. Show them you have self worth and dont need to 'prey' on those who are diffrent to feel accepted and adjusted. They are obviously missing empowerment at home, or they wouldnt have the need to do such things. Look up some insults on the internet, think about what they might be self concious of- big nose, braces, goofy legs, ugly chins, no boobs, needing to wear clothes to 'fit in' b/c they have no real personality, being shallow to fill a void- things like that. Also, Practice what you are going to say. The more self confidence YOU have, the less they can take away. You will plainly take the wind out of thier sails. good Luck to you

This is harassment, it could be considered gang activity if two or more are doing it to you, perhaps there are other charges that I'm not thinking of right now. I know you're scared, but you need to tell her that it's still going on, and now they are doing it over the computer. As a parent, I would not only contact the school, I'd be contacting a lawyer. If they are doing this to you, they are doing it to others. Ask around. If you all get together and have your parents contact the school all at once, do you really think that it won't stop? ps. archive those IM's and print them out. The police will want them.

There are many clichs in school no matter what grade you are in. If you are having a real problem with it and dont want your mother to step in then you can always see a school counsaler. Letting other school officials know what is going on can help prevent the problems. Also block there accounts so that you can not recieve messages from them. If that still does not work then you should try to talk to some of the girls that are making fun of you on a one on one basis and find out why they dont like you. Always remember the ugly duckling always turns in to a beautiful swan. Then one day those girls will be jealous of you.

I'm sorry that you have to handle this abuse. I am in high school and it's often frustrating how mean people can be. I know a number of people that will tell you to ignore it (it will probably only get worse...they are doing it for attention) or to tell an adult (you may be labeled a tattler). However, I think you need to stand up for yourself. The next time they say something to you, stand up and say,"I understand that you are so self-conscious about yourself that you feel you have to harass me, but I don't appreciate it. So for once, try acting your age and just knock it off." Once again, I feel for you. But I wish you good luck... ;)

Just ignore them, prove that you are above them and their childish taunts, they just want to get a reaction out of you. Hold your head high and know that you are better than them. Who cares what they think or say.
