A few years ago, I was diagnosed for a potassium deficiency, which caused the same kiind of cramps you describe. Maybe this is the thing you have, maybe not. Only a doctor can tell you for sure. Assuming it is a potassium deficiency... In adition to the other sources of potassium mentioned above, consider using "no salt" or "low sodium salt" or some other salt substitute. Most salt substitutes are made of some portion of potassium-chloride to replace the sodium-chloride, mainly for people who have to reduce sodium intake. Costs a little more, but it tastes just as good. This is in addition to bananas and such as potassium sources, and provided your doctor confirms a potassium deficiency. Self-diagnosis in this case may be a problem. These cramps could be a sign of something else entirely.

Without going to the doctor huh? Well, it sounds like a potassium deficiency. Eat potatoes, bananas, or go to your local health food store and get some potassium capsules. Foot and toe cramps can be linked to potassium deficiency.

I have gotten good results with calcium-magnesium-zinc tablets taken 3 times a day with meals. Clear this with your doctor if you are under treatment for any serious kind of medical condition.

muscle cramps tend to be a sign that your potassium is low. try taking supplements, or eating foods that are rich in potassium, such as bananas.
