I have been online since 1996 and have traveled to see 10 people.
I could write a book on the adventures I've had..

Any good stories to tell?

I have met over 250 guys in the past four years and I did write a book. It's called, "My Brief Career as a Standup Dominatrix" and available on lulu.com (only you have to change the teenage setting to mature)

I started on line in 1998. Because I was a single mom at that time, I never went to travel to meet some on line acquaintances. But quite a number did fly several miles to meet me. April 2001 was the day I decided I won't be meeting anyone else for a long long time.

April 2001 was the first time I laid eyes on my husband. During the times before we got married he always flew back in for my birthday and for Christmas. Finally a week before Christmas 2004 we got married in the church I grew up in.

He is Irish, I am Filipina. He has 3 children from a previous marriage, I have 3 children from a previous marriage. For now we are comfortably settled in my home town in the outskirts of Manila. Later on maybe we will have our own island with a nice white sandy beach where we will grow old together......

I "met" a wonderful woman online. We had a long distance relationship for several months. The first time I tried to see her in person, I had a very serious car accident. I fractured my skull and sustained other injuries but was back on my feet in a day. A month later, I tried to go see her again and got in another accident. Meanwhile she was getting evicted and not working due to a disability. I finally invited her to live with me without meeting first. I went to help her pack (I took the bus lol) so I met her the night before she moved in. Unfortunately, I was also not in condition to work or even really care for myself. We both had tried to put a good front on our problems that we really didn't know what we were getting into. It ended shortly after I attempted suicide. I would be willing to meet someone from online but I would insist on looking out for myself better.

I've met several. You do have to be extremely cautious. Find out everything that you can about the person. If they don't like that you are asking questions, or accuse you of "spying" or "checking up" on them, you really don't want anything to do with them.
I met one of my dearest friends online, more than 4 years ago. We talked for a very long time before we even talked about meeting. He lives in another country, so this wasn't a light decision. Not only did he answer every question, he gave me information that I didn't ask for. Everything, and I mean, everything checked out. He was exactly who he said he was. And so, I traveled to his country. I did stay in a hotel, not with him. We've gotten together since then, in NY, and plan to again this winter, in Florida. I have met some of his friends. We share ideas. It's rare to find someone like this.

Sure, I've been a Yahooligan since 1997 lol. I've met some of my closest friends online. And some really crazy people too.

There was this one guy, we met at the Olive Garden...everything was nice, we were conversing, laughing and enjoying each other's company. Then up out of nowhere he starts yelling obscenities and flaring his arms in the air. Then he'd stop and continue eating as if nothing had happened. He did this a few times before I got up to go to the restroom aka out the back door!!! He called me later though, to tell me that he had turrets syndrome. lol needless to say I really wasn't interested in hanging out with him too much, but we still keep in touch...On Yahoo! Messenger!

I met a girl in a chat room. We eventually talked on the phone . Than we met in her state of Florida.. Her next door neighbor tried to shoot me so it wasn't all bad. At least she had a picture of us in the newspaper. And I did go to Disney World off season. Most of the rides were shut down but the seagulls kept us company. She was a good friend but we really weren't compatible. I haven't given it much thought since then to ever meet someone online again. I have been writing to this girl in Florida though........

Yes I have met people on line. The guy I am going out with now I met. But I have stories too. One guy wanted to move in with me after the first date. Another guy accused me of stealing his kitten. Which later he found out that the cat got out. Alot of the guys out there want to get serious right away, and that wasn't my thing. Good luck to ya!

Yes. I met an artist, who also repairs violins and was a friend of Jim Hensen when he was creating the Muppets in Chicago, CA. He was more fun and impressive online than in person.

I have met one very enormous woman who was suppose to be 125 lbs but turned out to be twice the women for the price of one, after that I became very, very, very careful. but on the flip side I got to meet a great musician named Biachi from Castle in Spain, an up coming group and that was hell'a cool. just be extremely careful anybody who insist on meeting are up to no good.

I have not yet met anyone personally online and never got the chance to see anyone online either, my belief is that anyone out there online is far different from real, exactly!
