I think by 'mayority' you mean...majority?
And by 'ignorat' you mean...ignorant?
Btw...Spain is in Europe, right next to Portugal, yes?
Not all people of U.S.A. are ignorant. Have a GREAT day :-)

"tell my something intelligent"...
Here are a few things,
1. the sentence should have been tell ME something intelligent.
2. You spelled intelligent wrong.
3. "why the moyority of u.s.a people are so ignorat?"
should have been...Why ARE the MAJORITY of people IN THE U.S.A. so IGNORANT?
4. It should have been ANSWERED not answer
On another note...
Definitions for what Latin America comprises vary:
From a strict cultural and linguistic perspective,it would be all countries and territories where Romance languages — Spanish, Portuguese, French, and their creoles - are spoken.

We're not really ignorant. We do however live in a country that is relatively self-absorbed and out of touch with the rest of the world. Is it our fault? No, it's just most U.S.A. people just don't have the luxory to travel to other countries so we don't make very good ambassadors.
The majority of ignorant people aren't in America though...EVERY country has it's share of idiots and ignorant people.
Stereotyping based on answers from online Q&A is not the best thing in the world to do.
I hope this was at least somewhat intelligent.

The answer is because, as Americans, we are not as directly affected by the actions in the other continents as we would be if we were a country the size of Norway, Spain, France, Germany, Romania.....
Since English is now the official language of the world (even though the most spoken language happens to be Spanish), We do not have the need to learn other languages to get by. It helps if we (those of us who live in California, Arizona, Texas, New Mexico..) learn Spanish due to our proximity with our MExican neighbors to the south and it helps if we (those uf us who live in Vermont, Maine...) Learn some French due to our close proximity of our Franch-Canadian friends to the north but we still have no need to learn other languages.
We also are ignorant in world affairs because most of them don't seem to affect us. We could care less who was just elected president of Italy or France unless our new service tells us that he or she is a radical who wants to destroy the USA. As long as they are peaceful, it does not affect us. Therefore, we are apethetic and ignorant in world affairs. We will let CNN and our nightly news tell us the truths that we are supposed to hear and promptly forget about it because, again, it doesn't affect us.
The biggest international news stories between us and our North American neighbors are: The USA will require American Citizens to carry thier passports with them when they return from a short trip across the border into Mexico. Previously, you cound go to Tijuana, Roserita Beach, Puerto Nuevo and Ensenada with your drivers license as valid ID. Next year - you need a passport. The other continuing news stories with Mexico are illegal immigration and health care for those who cross our borders illegally. Canada is basically a silent friend so we don't worry about problems there.
If we were in Europe, we would need to know what is happening in our neighboring countries and we would probably need to learn two - four different languages to communnicate with your neighbors and visitors.
That said, there are many of us Americans who do care abuot the world events. We are not all ignorant but we are in the minority.

Majority are ignorant, because they listen to what they are told on TV and radio. They dont have time to listen to other media beside the local TV. They still think that earth is flat, and this flatness of earth makes their army tanks rollover into Iraq smoothly. They think the president is the commander in chief, and should go to baghdad to fight the insurgency himself. they think democracy is the only way for Iraq, whereas it is ok for the commander in chief to steal the elections.

I don't know where you are from but from your spelling I can tell you are the ignorant one. You can't spell or construct a sentence. How dare you say the American people are ignorant. I believe it is you.
If you wanted to ask a question, you should have phrased it:
"Why are the majority of people in the U.S. A. so ignorant?"
Learn to spell and talk. Village idiot. Geez.
